Cadet Corner
A big part of the Sea Cadets program comes through training, education, and commiting oaths and orders to memory. This not only helps the individual cadet to grow in his personal knowledge and cement his place within the division, but it also helps the division as a whole come time for annual inspection and our bi-annual PRT(Physical Readiness Test).
Below, our cadets can find everything they need to be ready at all times.
Standard Uniform Appearance
All cadets in the division will be issued the uniforms shown below. All cadets will be responsible for the keep and care of said uniforms.
Cadets will also be issued PRT gear, as well as, a Liberty Division t-shirt for fundraisers and recruiting events.
NWU III
Year round working uniform.
Dress Whites
Dress uniform worn April-October.
Dress Blues
Dress uniform worn November-March.
PRT Standards
Twice each year, cadets will need to complete their PRT (Physical Readiness Test). These tests consist of a mile run, a plank, and push-ups. These tests will need to be completed and passed in order for the cadets to participate in winter, spring, and summer trainings. The standards are shown below.

General Orders:
- To take charge of this post and all government property in view.
- To walk my post in a military manner, keeping always on the alert, and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing.
- To report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce.
- To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the guard house than my own.
- To quit my post only when properly relieved.
- To receive, obey, and pass on to the sentry who relieves me all orders from the Commanding Officer, Command Duty Officer, Officer of the Deck, and Officers and Petty Officers of the Watch only.
- To talk to no one except in the line of duty.
- To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder.
- To call the Officer of the Deck in any case not covered by instructions.
- To salute all officers and colors and standards not cased.
- To be especially watchful at night and during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post, and to allow no one to pass without proper authority.
Sea Cadet Oath:
"I promise to serve God, honor our flag, abide by the Naval Sea Cadet Corps regulations and carry out the orders of the officers appointed over me, and so conduct myself as to be a credit to myself, my unit, the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, the Navy and my country."
